8-Azanebularine is a compound that replaces the C6 amino group with hydrogen and inhibits ADAR2 reaction at high concentrations (IC50=15 mM). When incorporated into RNA structures recognized by human ADAR2, 8-Azanebularine binds with high affinity (KD=2 nM). It can be used for studying RNA editing reactions catalyzed by ADAR.
