Cy3-UTP (Cyanine 3-UTP) can replace UTP as the substrate of T7RNA polymerase to produce labeled probes through in vitro transcription. Λexc=550nm/Λem=570nm[1]. Cy3 dye gives the UTP molecule fluorescent properties, and Cy3-UTP can be incorporated into RNA molecules through the transcription reaction catalyzed by RNA polymerase. Enables researchers to track RNA distribution, localization and dynamics[2]. Cy3-UTP labeled mRNA is easily visible under UV light and does not require further staining after gel electrophoresis [3]. Cy3-UTP can be used for single-molecule fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) measurement to monitor the co-transcriptional folding of RNA molecules in real time [4].This product is provided as a 10mM aqueous solution.
