1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-PC (DSPC) is a lipid that can be used to synthesize liposomes, micelles and other types of artificial membranes[1]. 1,2-Distaroyl-sn-glycero-3-PC is a metabolite produced in Saccharomyces cerevisiae[2]. Mixed lipid monolayers containing 1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-PC can bind to calcium-mediated DNA[3].
1,2-Distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-PC and CdSe/ZnS QD were prepared into liposome formulations to encapsulate the drug TNT, and were treated with HeLa cells. Compared with free TNT, it was easier to be taken up and internalized by cells, significantly improving Cytotoxic effects[4]. 1,2-Distaroyl-sn-glycero-3-PC encapsulated liposomes treated HeLa and 104C1 cells to promote Chlamydia trachomatis Ct D infection[5].
