[Ala17]-MCH is a synthetic peptide derived from the hypothalamic neuropeptide hormone melanin-concentrating hormone (MCH) and an MCH receptor agonist.1 It binds to MCH1 and MCH2 receptors in CHO cells expressing the human receptors (IC50s = 0.15 and 3.5 nM, respectively) and induces calcium mobilization in HEK293 cells expressing the human receptors (EC50s = 17 and 54 nM, respectively).
