Anti-entzündliches Mittel 35 (Verbindung 5a27) ist ein oral wirksames Curcumin-Analogon mit entzündungshemmender Aktivität. Anti-entzündliches Mittel 35 blockiert die Signale von Mitogen-aktivierten Proteinkinasen (MAPK) und die nukleäre Translokation von NF-kB. Es hemmt auch die Infiltration von neutrophilen Granulozyten und die Produktion proinflammatorischer Zytokine. In vivo hat Anti-entzündliches Mittel 35 in Studien eine signifikante Reduktion der akuten Lungenverletzung (ALI), induziert durch Lipopolysaccharide (LPS), gezeigt.
