Fentanyl-¹³C₆ (hydrochloride) (CRM) is a certified reference material intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of fentanyl by GC- or LC-MS. Fentanyl is categorized as an opioid.^1,2 It is more effective than morphine at reducing pain but is also more lethal.³ Fentanyl is highly abused and is associated with many fatal overdoses.⁴. Fentanyl is regulated as a Schedule II compound in the United States. Fentanyl-¹³C₆ (hydrochloride) (CRM) is provided as a DEA exempt preparation. This product is intended for research and forensic applications.
