Mca-YVADAP-K(Dnp)-OH is a substrate for caspase-1 and angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2).1,2 Upon cleavage by caspase-1 or ACE2, 7-methoxycoumarin-4-acetyl (Mca) is released and its fluorescence can be used to quantify enzyme activity. Mca displays excitation/emission maxima of 328/420 nm, respectively.
