rac-Hesperetin-d3 is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of hesperetin by GC- or LC-MS. rac-Hesperetin is a racemic mixture of the flavanones (S)-hesperetin and (R)-hesperetin. rac-Hesperetin (1 mM) inhibits heat-induced advanced glycation end product formation between BSA and glucose by 56.7%.1 It also inhibits α-glucosidase and protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B; IC50s = 15.28 and 20.16 µM, respectively).2 rac-Hesperetin (100 µM) protects against hydrogen peroxide-induced cytotoxicity in MIN6 pancreatic beta cells by 72.27%.
