BAY-747 (BAY 1165747) is a soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) stimulator that is orally effective and has brain penetration. BAY-747 reverses L-NAME-induced memory impairment and enhances cognition in rats. It also lowers conscious blood pressure in both normotensive and spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR). Additionally, BAY-747 improves skeletal muscle function related to Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) in the mdx/mTRG2 mouse model.
