Description of C-Laurdan

Fluorescent probe for imaging lipid rafts. Used to detect membrane polairty via one and two-photon fluorecence imaging. Two photon excitation spectra = 780 nm; one photon absorption/emission spectra = 348/423 nm; Quantum yield = 0.43.
