Sample solution is provided at 25 µL, 10mM.
AV-Ceramide is a fluorescently-tagged probe consisting of C-10 ceramide with an anthrylvinyl (AV) group attached to the end of the acyl chain. The AV group, being relatively small and non-polar, readily orients within the central region of a lipid bilayer. The transfer or transport of lipids labeled with AV is commonly evaluated in real time using fluorescence resonance energy transfer, with a second fluorophore.
