Stachyose (oral gavage; 200鈥塵g/kg; 17 days) combines with Berberine (100鈥塵g/kg) produces better hypoglycemic effects than berberine alone. stachyose alone does not decrease the glycaemia of diabetic db/db mice. Additonally, the expression of mucin鈥? is decreased in the Sta鈥?鈥塀BR and Sta groups, with a decrease of 2.4% and 2.1%, respectively; and no change is found in the BBR group[1].
