scyllo-Inositol hexakisphosphate is a stereoisomer of inositol hexakisphosphate (IP6), an organic phosphorous compound found in the environment.1 scyllo-Inositol hexakisphosphate has been identified in soil samples from Madagascar, New Zealand, and the Falkland Islands and in freshwater sediment from Danish lakes.2,3 scyllo-Inositol hexakisphosphate has been used as a negative control for the stereospecific effects of myo-inositol hexakisphosphate on IK,in in intact guard cells.4
