IRBP (1-20), human

IRBP (1-20), human은 시각 인터셉터 리티노이드 결합 단백질 (IRBP)의 1-20 amino acid단편이다.

IRBP은 신경 소관과 소관 색소상피 사이의 광피호활질 기질에서 발견되는 140 kDa 단백질이다. 인간의 IRBP 펩타이드 1-20은 H-2b 하플로타입의 주요 에피토프를 포함한다.IRBP(1-20) 면역은 T세포를 중개한 실험적 자가면역성 uveoretinitis (EAU) 질병을 유도한다^[1,2].

인간 IRBP (1-20)를 통한 유도된 암컷 C57BL/6J 쥐는 성공적으로 EAU 현상형을 보였다^[3,5]. IRBP 결핍이 T세포 레퍼토리에 미치는 영향도 조사되었다. C57BL/6 배경의 IRBP+/+, IRBP+/- 그리고 IRBP-/- 쥐는 IRBP 또는 유해한 에피토프, 인간 IRBP (1-20) 펩타이드를 인자로 하여 면역화되었으며, 질병 심각도와 면역학 반응을 평가했다. C57BL/6 IRBP-/- 쥐는 EAU와 EAP에 완전히 저항하며, IRBP 및 그 유해한 펩타이드 1-20에 대한 면역학 반응이 IRBP+/+ 대조군에 비해 강화되었다. IRBP-/- 쥐는 변경된 IRBP 에피토프 인식을 보여주었다^[4].
