SAINT C-18 (Synonyms: SAINT-2,SAINT-7,SAINT-18,Synthetic Amphiphile INTeraction C-18)

SAINT C-18 is a cationic lipid that has been used in the formation of liposomes for the delivery of plasmid DNA, proteins, siRNA, and small molecules.^1,2,3,4 Complexes of SAINT C-18 with plasmid DNA encoding pigment epithelium-derived factor (PEDF) inhibit corneal neovascularization induced by complexes of SAINT C-18 with plasmid DNA encoding FGF2, also known as basic FGF, in rats.^[2]
