KS100 es un inhibidor efectivo de ALDH, con IC50 de 334, 2137 y 360 nM para ALDH1A1, ALDH2 y ALDH3A1 respectivamente. KS100 tiene propiedades antiproliferativas y anticancerígenas con baja toxicidad. KS100 aumenta significativamente la actividad ROS, la peroxidación lipídica y la acumulación de aldehídos tóxicos. KS100 induce apoptosis celular y detiene el ciclo celular en fase G2/M.
