Mycoplasma Removal Agent Plus

Mycoplasma Removal Agent Plus is a reagent used to inhibit and eliminate widespread mycoplasma contamination in cultured cells. On one hand, it can be used to remove existing mycoplasma contamination in cells, and on the other, to prevent mycoplasma contamination.

This reagent can effectively inhibit and eliminate various types of mycoplasma, including Mycoplasma orale, M. arginini, M. hyorhinis, and Acholeplasma laidlawii.

It is a naturally derived antibiotic selected through screening, with a low concentration when inhibiting or eliminating mycoplasma, causing no toxicity to cells. Like the commonly used antibiotics penicillin and streptomycin in cell culture, it does not interfere with various routine cell tests.

Easy to use, typically adding this reagent to the cell culture medium for about a week can effectively inhibit or eliminate mycoplasma.

It is cost-effective, as the additional cost of adding this reagent to the culture medium per liter is negligible compared to the cost of serum used to prevent or inhibit mycoplasma growth.

This reagent is white and soluble in water and ethanol.

The effective inhibitory concentration of this reagent is 0.01-0.2μg/ml, and the effective concentration for eliminating mycoplasma is 0.5-200μg/ml, with the most commonly used concentration being 1-50μg/ml. The specific working concentration may vary depending on the type of mycoplasma and needs to be explored in practice to find the appropriate working concentration.

A 10mg package of this reagent can prepare 50 liters of working solution at 0.2μg/ml, 500ml at 20μg/ml, or 200ml at 50μg/ml. A 50mg package can prepare 250 liters at 0.2μg/ml, 2500ml at 20μg/ml, or 1000ml at 50μg/ml.

Mycoplasma Removal Agent Plus is irritating to humans; please be careful during operation and take appropriate precautions to avoid direct contact with the body or inhalation.

This reagent can effectively inhibit or eliminate various types of mycoplasma, but it cannot guarantee to inhibit or eliminate any type of mycoplasma encountered in actual experimental operations.
