MSG-606 es una excelente sonda para dirigir específicamente las células de melanoma para el diagnóstico del cáncer de piel. MSG-606 actúa como antagonista hacia las células de melanoma. Actividades de unión y cAMP de MSG-606 contra células de melanoma humano (A375) con un IC50 de 96 nM [1].
MSG-606 (1 nmol/µl, 6 µl) abolió los efectos neuroprotectores del sistema BMS-470539/MC1R, en un modelo de hemorragia subaracnoidea (SAH) [2].
