TTA-Q6 es un antagonista selectivo del canal de Ca2+ tipo T y puede ser utilizado en investigaciones neurológicas[1].
TTA-Q6 mostró buenos perfiles generales y fue examinado en varios ensayos in vivo sensibles a los antagonistas del canal de calcio tipo T. Demostró una inhibición robusta de las convulsiones en el modelo de epilepsia WAG/Rij después de una dosis oral de 3 mg/kg. Una dosis de 10 mg/kg de TTA-Q6 administrada a ratas justo antes de su período de sueño produjo una supresión adicional del despertar activo durante 0,5-2 horas después de la dosificación[2]. TTA-Q6 redujo de manera dependiente de la dosis la actividad psicomotora inducida por anfetaminas[3].
